Biography

Dr. Daniel Sungyeon Kim is currently Associate Professor in Finance, Associate Dean of Graduate School of Business, and Director of Career Development Center at School of Business and Economics, Chung-Ang University. Prior to joining Chung-Ang University, he served at Peking University HSBC Business School as an Assistant Professor in Finance. His major area of research interest is corporate governance including executive compensation and board of directors. He earned his doctoral degree in finance at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University in Bloomington. Before Indiana University, Dr. Kim earned his MSc in Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics and Political Sciences and BBA from Seoul National University. He also studied at Harvard College for a year as a Visiting Undergraduate Student. Prior to pursuing academic career, he worked in the industry at firms such as Samjong KPMG, Morgan Stanley, IMM Partners, etc.
